I've finally gotten decent pictures of some of my Iron warriors. I'd like your opinions on them, and any suggestions.
The WArsmith is still very WIP, his iron armour didnt come out the way i wanted it to. The Basilisk is still VERY WIP as you can see, and ive still a few vehicle accessories im going to add to it.. The rest have only minor things to do to them i think.
I like those veichles a lot! The regular infatry and the Warsmith looks nice to, but it's the veichles that is the most awsome!
Good stuff, the only thing I would suggest is to drill out the barrels the guns.
For the rest it's a good start of an army, looking forward to seeing more of you.
Most of them are drilled out the Aspiring champions bolt pistols arnt because i just changed them to that from plas-pistols
Please, keep it coming guys!
That's EXACTLY how I envisioned making my Iron Warriors Basilisk, if I ever do go for Iron Warriors -- based on the Rhino! The Chimera hull is just too crap for our beloved IW.
Anyway very nice overall. The scarabs look a little out of place, I would've prefered the older classic Scarabs as they look more robotic (and not so easily recognizable as Necronic). That and the black/yellow striping needs some work (It's still tons better than I could ever do my striping but it does need a bit of straightening and highlighting).
Overall very nice, and very worthy of the Iron Warriors!
Takka n' Wakka's Dakka Attacka! 33W / 6L / 1D
Those are very good models. The painting and modelling are all to a high standard, thanks for sharing them. I like that Basilisk. The work you have done on it is very interesting. It will be cool to see more.
The models look great. Good job on the defiler conversion. One question: In the 6th image, the marine has some kind of backpack replacement. It looks like two cylinders with hose attachments at their top. Is this a bit? It really looks sharp.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
All really good, possibly the best IW i have seen. I think that the Warsmith (especially the base) brilliant.
Best. Metallics. EVAR. Seriosuly, these are some of the most realistic metals I have seen. Everything looks awesome, I just 2 minor kwips (That's not a word...):
On the plasma gunner, (I assume the blue is a glow effect) it looks kinda un-realistic. Remeber that you only need to paint the areas that have a direct line of sight to the glowy thing.
And on the Warsmith (I think, guy with power klaw), the highlights on his left shoulder seem kinda thikc and extreme. Might wanna blend those some. Otherwise, AWESOME.
Edit: Oh, I forgot. You have to tell me how you got that metal looking so good. C'mon. C'mooon. C'mooooooon.
Check some sweet 1.5/2k Chaos!
There's no 'I' in revolu-... in team!
Rabbit: It's a basilisk, not a defiler . The bit on his pack is from a Leman Russ heavy flamer.
Basecoat tin bitz
Heavily drubrush boltgun (could do this twice depending on how used you want your metal to look)
lightly drubrush chainmail
even lighter drybrush of mithril silver
wash with a 50/50 mix of black and brown ink watered down.
