I never use Rippers, so I have a nice pile of them. I've been looking for ways to use them other than just throwing them on the bases. Instead, I thought I could use them to show how many wounds the TMC has left.
I took some small magnets, 5mm x 3mm discs, and cut out spaces in the bases and glued them in. Then I took some magnetic sheet and glued small circles on the bottom on each Ripper.
After I base the Tyrants and Fexes, the Rippers will stick to the bases and I can remove them when the TMCs take wounds. They also look pretty good.
I'll post some pics when I finish up.
Just thought I would mention that you should be careful if you ever tried to use these at a tourney, as by the WYSIWYG rule these would probably count as Ripper symbiotes.
I would not worry about that too much. WYSIWYG rules get bent left and right nowadays... I am not syaint that it is good, but to be honest most armies that I play against are proxies/broken pieces/primed or bare metal figures...
It is a coold idea and I would go with it
This will look very mad its a great idea and itll look great too with some little rippers running around on the base.
