Hey i was flicking through a few old issues of white dwarf recently and saw a chapter approved section on chaos worlds... and decided to make some chaos infestations to play in these games... i went through my bits box and found a tonne of bits i could use to make some up... i mainly used tyranid and chaos mutation bits... if anyone has some cool ideas for some mutations it would be greatly appreciated... ill try to post some pics of the ones completed thus far... and paint them sometime soon too
trees with lots of eyes
seas of half liquid limbs
a tree chopped in half with a spinal column potruding from it
rocks with sreaming faces
Anything which combines human and other attributes tends to really freak people out
Plus if you want to make weird landscapes and critters, Dali is teh win.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

If you want things to be chaotic try using odd materials. You can get some tissue paper and mix it up with watered down PVA glue. You can then take this sludge and mould it into any shape you like, such as odd warped chaos buildings etc.
It does take some time to dry and can leak all over the place but it is cheap. So yoou can make lots of stuff out of it. Once it is dry you can spray it black and paint it all in any colour the odd rough and organic shapes help to show it is mutated.
surealist art and odd perspectives (echer) are great.
look at any cray thing you've ever seen and make it weirder.
that painting from the end of "the devils advocate" made out of people. The bent-up bridge from "Evil Dead" would be sweet. You could do stair wells that lead to angled floating puddles. Use Battlefleet Gothic terrain. Have an outhouse with wings on it.
The whole point is chaos, but don't do "anything," try and keep it themed to your chaos god of choice. So Nurgles planet could have bleeding terrain, etc.
If your trying to make mutations and other models to mark it's effect on the people there is even more you could do. Have a person splitting in half. Have a model with a giant eye for a head. Make hands out of the weapons themselves. have IG with tyranid limbs for heads. The possibilities are near endless.
Thanks :w00t: these are great suggestions... ive already made such things as a sluggy sorta thing made from a nurgling with its tail cut off and a longer one made using a tyranid piece... (cant remember which piece though) and lots of smaller slugs around it using the toxin sacs from tyranids... i will get pics up of what ive done so far when i get home!
