this is the first WIP pic of my attempt to turn the throne of judgment into a SW ven Dread.
the pic is shit because the camera doesn't have a macro function, but i think you can get the general idea. Now i need suggestions on what i should do with the scroll on the side. i was planning on keeping it but now im not to sure, and it wont take that much effort to grind it back.
Also need suggestions for the sarcophagus. was thinking of just doing a normal rectangle one, but now im thinking of trying something like the new ven dread, with the rounded chest plate and head.
received his arms today (t/l lascannons, missile launcher & close combat arm) , so now i just need to find a cheap BA dread to steal the right arm to turn into a plasma cannon.
will update with more pics as i work on it more.
Somewhere, I've seen this done before...
Oh... I recall... Blue table painting converted one of these...
Let me see if I can find an image.
I also converted one onto a Defiler to make a giant, walking, "Throne" of Khorne...
Let me find thos pics...
Love that Dready mate and the defiler is just plain  EVIL!!
The only thing i can really say from my point of view is that the Twin-Las cannons could be brought in a touch towards the body and maybe have the arm that is holding them bulked out a little. But thats just me.
But other than that some really nice, creative and inspiring work!! (consider both ideas "borrowed")
98% of the teen population has smoked weed, if you are the 2% that hasn't, and blindly believe everything you read on the net, then put this in your signature.
PS - i AM the Green Lantern
I'm liking that VERY much. You did a nice job of keeping it very Dread-like, while still emphasizing the throne aspect.
very nice- i cant wait to see it painted
That does look very interesting. I like the idea of a zombie in a fish tank, any reason why a Dreadnought keeps a pet zombie in a fish tank (laugh). I actually think it will look cool that way.
Which zombie head do you want to use. I would suggest the one that has it's mouth open and is missing an eye, it is the most realistic.
