Can you guys give me some advice on my chaos warriors (They were the first regiment I painted [not counting the 5 guy starter set]).
I'm not too good at pictures, and I never read the articles on the site before I took them, but here are two views of the regiment (you can barely see anything except for the first row
Well on the sheilds it seems that your paint is thick. Try many layers of thinned paint instead of one layer. Also on your reds and bone colors your applying way to much paint. IF your looking for a deep red start from a base of darker red like scab or red gore and make your way up to blood red or even blazing orange. Your silvers look fine.

Sigurd GreatFang's Wulfen Host 7/4/3
Thanks, I was wondering what I was doing wrong to make them turn out that way  .
I think your real problems exist in highlighting and shading. You could add some more colours to them to aid the colours they have. On the banner for example, you could try a very thin line of watered down black paint around the chaos symbol. This would make it stand out more.
I suggest some wotk on the silver. All you really need is to shade it a little. There are two ways to do this. The first is to use a thin line of black paint. The second is easier. Get some brown ink and apply it around the groves and cracks. It is best to make sure you use a small brush and very little ink is on it. The effect will be to shade it slightly and show that they are different pieces of metal.
Thanks, I have very few paints, but I will need to pick up some brown inks to make it better.
