Can anyone tell me the proper color combination to get the greenish looking chaos flesh? The only guide I have is the space marine book and that isn't too helpful when you don't want the human look.
On a side note, I've had a real difficult time painting flesh on certain models. For example, the regular looking head with two horns from the Chaos space marine mutation sprue. Everytime I put paint on him it seeps into the recesses instead of onto the ridges of his face so they stay black. I think this is due to the watered down fleshes but I'm not sure how to fix it.
My first guess is that your paint is thinnned down too much. Perhaps try thinning it down less. Another option would be to use inkt afterwards. Since it's pretty much bright due to fleshtones you'll probably see the recesses which need inking pretty good afterwards
Actually I don't think down the flesh paints at all... those I just use straight out of the bottle and they still seem all sorts of watery. I'll have to try the ink wash idea though... what would look good, brown?
