Part of my project with my big bug (see projects forum) is to have a burning chimera, in order to do that I have to have flames. Below are some pics I have taken of the prototype flames I have made, and I am interested in feedback/thoughts/ideas on how to make it better or if they are the business.
Note the pic is zoomed in alot, that is the back of the chimera in question you can see behind the flames.
Army most recently finished (well kinda): Space Wolves
Last Project completed: Converted Aegis Defence Lascannon
Next Project: Long Fang Diaorama
Hey, not bad! The colour looks good but maybe you could use a little more yellow at the bottom? As to the sculpt- I like the ripplyness of the flames, that's really cool but I'd try having more points. This might help avoid the pyramid type look it sort of has, Maybe just 2 or 3 seperate smaller points, maybe at slightly different heights? That's all i can suggest- good job so far.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
Isn't flame usually red at the bottom and yellow at the top?
As for the painting itself, very good. I've done a lot worse
If you think Mathammer doesn't work and dice cannot be predicted, there's a whole field of mathematics called probability that would like to disagree.
