criticism and tips welcome and encouraged
I can't tell if you highlighted or not. The red is too solid with no visible highlights. Your white is too thick and needs to be watered down. I like hows your marine looks with the bionic leg, but the blue on the other leg looks odd and out of place. Why is there blue on it anyways?
Tip: Start off with a thinned scab red. Highlight with mix of 1:1 scab/blood, then 1:2 scab/blood. Final thin highlight with blood red on highest edges. Remember to keep your paints watered down.

Looking nice mate, but here are is a tip that might help you out.
Ok, this is a bit of colour theory. The brightest metallic colour that you can use is Mithril Silver.
therefor, you should only use Mithril Silver as an extreme highlight. If you want bright metal, you should mix a small amount of it with a darker metallic colour, such as Boltgun or Chainmail. This way, you can still highlight with Mithril Silver, and it would remove the slight look of 'flatness' that some parts of your models have.
Hope i helped
Oh, and fyi, 'color' is spelled 'colour' here in Australia, so i can indeed spell :shifty:
"In dedicato imperatum ultra articulo mortis"
That's about as good ad I can paint. I like them, soon I'll learn highlighting like you may...
Legionnaire, sometimes I spell color, as colour becaues it's easier to type, it just rolls off the fingers that way. (let's not turn this into a debate about spelling. After all this is about IronFather's IF's...)
