Anybody know how to convert these?
I figure Cadian legs and torso with catachan head and arms followed by a greenstuff cloak...is this right? Or is there a better idea.
Meh, I would go with heads that are a little more sparse than Cadian ones. Not a lot of helmet wearing in the novels, if I remember correctly. However, they did make reference to some kind of spiked helmet in Honor Gaurd that a trooper from an absorbed army wore. So maybe a few green-stuff helmets on a few troopers. Or maybe model a few different styles to represent the diversity of the Ghosts. At the end of the day, most anything would work for helmets and torsos, as long as you have plenty of different styles in the army. That's just how the Ghost were. Not too much standardization. Maybe different gear for each infantry unit? Cloaks are gonna' be a must, though. Oh, yes. I also think modelling silencers on as many weapons as possible would look cool and go with the Ghosty/Stealth theme.
He said that he was using catachan heads. Bobahat made a conversion guide for some of the Imperial regiments including the Tanith First and Only you should probably look at.
Can you please point out linkies for these places...?
And also can anybody point to a green-stuff tutorial for cloaks?
Thanks! That tutorial is more than just helpful.
I was thinking perhaps Wood Elves torso can do take some work out of Green Stuff cloaks...am I right?
Cadian bodies would work well. WE torsos wouldn't. Looks to... feral.
As for cloaks, I don't know. I have little experience with cloaks.
Has anybody got the guardsmen legs and a wood elf torso with cloak? Can anybody put them on top of each other for a show if scale? I can't access the GW website for 4 more months due to the fact I'm stuck on a school computer with a very strict filter.
Also are there any other plastic kits with good cloaks? Preferably the large regiment boxed so I don't a load of them. I am really bad at green stuff and sculpting 100+ cloaks is going to stretch my skill and patience.
I have Wood elves and IG and I don't need to stick 'em togheter to tell you that it won't work. Cadian bodies is the way to go considering the options. As for cloaks, WE cloaks would require some major re-sculpting. Chaos Warriors for FB have claoks to, but they're all torned and furry.
In the Tau section of the GW site they mention that the Vampire Lord Dragon Rider(or something, haven't checked for awhile) cape fits onto the cadian body with some bending. With a little greenstuff you could probably make it look more like the camocloaks from the books.
