How hard is it to repaint blood angels to ultramarines? im thinking about doing it because the Ultra marines seem to have the best benifits. Answers appreciated!!!
Well... I think you'll need to strip the paint from the models for one.
What models do you have? Some BA models have BA marks on it, thus it would look kinda awkward.
But besides that, I think you just need to strip the red paint of and start up with painting them blue.
There are several ways you could go about doing this. If you kept your paints thin you can put several layers of paint on a figure without obscuring details. If that is the case you can probably paint right over it. It might be best to either do a thin coat of black or white (really your preference) to allow the blue a bit better coverage.
I am guessing these are just generic marines? If so and you have decals on them - you shouldn't have too much of a problem painting over them but if they are a little bit raised you could scrape them carefully with an x-acto knife.
Now if the paint is thick or you are having trouble covering them you will most likely need to strip them. There is a pinned topic for stripping.
