OK, so while this may seem like it should go in the WD forums, I think it would be more useful here really.
To anyone who is looking to improve thier painting skills beyond the basic, I heartily reccomend buying the next issue of White Dwarf (328, has a Harlequin on the cover *linky*).
While the Battle Report is pretty dull, and the gaming articles somewhat average, the painting tips in this issue are actually very helpful.
It covers layering in decent detail, and the article on painting the Master of the Ravenwing is actually pretty informative (significantly moreso than the 'masterclass' articles usually are).
It also brushes (pun!) on techniques such as glazing and washing, which is pretty impressive.
While this is mainly connected to the release of the Foundation paints, if you can look past the 'subliminal' advertising, you may actually learn something...
While it won't be all that helpful to more 'advanced' painters, I think it will be an invaluable purchase to anyone looking to progressing beyond drybrushing

I agree I really have not been to happy with WD arecently but the blending article as well as the DA charecter article were fantastic.

Looking forward to it already!

What this? White Dwarf have improved and printed somthing useful for the first time in years? I will have to pick this issue up for the painting techniques as I could do with info on layering stuff as I really want to get the best from the lovely new foundation paints.
