Welcome to Librarium Online!
i was building a science project with my nephew and discovered a spray paint that is water based and will not melt styrofoam. we were making a neanderthal cave display out of pink insulation foam and i painted the surface with wood glue like i do with my warhammer terrain projects but was having a hard time geting it into the creveces of the craggy rock formations we had created with the mdf. i went to my local craft store, michaels looking for a spray bottle i could fill with watered down paint and thought id look in the spray paint section and saw it...krylon h20 latex spray paint! it worked perfect and now i have a spray to use on all my terrain made with pink insulation foam for my warhammer projects.
Thanks for sharing this discovery, I will definitely try that on my next big building project.
If I can find this brand... or anything comparable...

Ouuu - I know where I am going during my lunch break
and this is the advantage of playing warhammer, you know to go to a craft store for projects ( if only I did that first...)
anyway, my Mom will be going in a while, gotta tell her to get it!

Very nice find, I look forward to using it!
If anyone knows where to find this stuff in the UK please let me know... being able to spray undercoat my foamcore buildings would be a lifesaver, but I can't find it on the interweb for sale in the UK!
Regardless, great find joeboma!
Why not just use a big brush and 'paint' it with PVA first to seal it. Then you can use any spray you want on it. I prefer using 20 cents worth of glue and my $2.29 can of spray rather than forking over $8.99 for a can of the specialty stuff.
I guess its just a matter of conveinence and how much you're willing to pay for it.

It is very much down to that:
- How much can you afford to spend?
- How much are you willing to spend?
- How much time do you want to spend on it?
I think that a lot of players never get around to finishing painting their armies because they just can't be bothered. I know that sometimes I can't. Also, there is often some shiny new thing waiting at the GW shop...
Until there is a nice juicy long weekend, the forces of the warp work their insidious magicks and some more little artworks are produced!
Having said all that, there is not much in life as satisfying as a completed project - army or scenery - that you can look at and say, "My work here is done!". (And then you wander off to the GW shop or the craft store, thinking, "What else do I need to spend money on today?")
Zapp: You see the killbots have a preset kill limit. Knowing their weakness, I sent wave after wave of my own men at them until they reached their limit and shut down.
Who said that it cost 8.99? Infact, I believe it cost les than your 2.29 can of spray, Mr Juice. Please don't be so negative. Anyway, thanks for the praise and keep pumping out those great scenery projects!
