Hey there, I was just wondering if anyone has a some tips for painting slaaneshi warriors (fantasy). After asking around a bit I garnered that they were painted in mostly pastel colors, but I was curious if people preffered a pink or a purple. I was leaning towards a pink myself and considering using a light blue as a contrast (either on the fur or on the cape).
I am relatively new to painting and I am finding it difficlt to highlight the pink I was using because it was already a bright color, any attempt at using a lighter pink is not really visible, any ideas?
if you want to use a lighter blue as a contrast, you could use space wolves grey with appropriate shades and highlights for the furs. Try starting with a darker pink, or using inks to shade, i assume you would use a heavily watered down red ink, but I am not really sure, i don't paint pink very often.
So, here's one GW example, just in case you do not yet know it Click!
And another GW gallery. Even the ones not connected to Slaanesh are pretty good for inspiration I think Click!
I could not find the second one on the GB or US site, thus it is German, but still the pics are great IMO and the gods names are the same anyway.

I painted my Slaanesh Warriors with Warlock purple and then lined the armour plates with Tentacle Pink. The cloaks I did Regal Blue up to Shadow Grey. Will post pics later if i can.
Yep, pics would be appreciated, as I am currently considering starting an Emperor's Children army... an have no ideas about colour schemes yet. Thanks.
I think you might like these threads I found for a bit of inspiration. You're right as the main colours being pink and purple, but personally I'd go for purple more so. It's stronger than pink and can be a very good main colour. Anyway, the threads:
