    [40K] Assualt cannon

I made this assault cannon with cut up ear bud sticks, green stuff and attached it to a heavy flamer termi, how does it look. It needs some more paint, but my dark angel green is busy soaking into the carpet and ill be need to buy some more. It's huge but I wanted it like that.

Hey dmk, nice work on making your own assault cannon. Its annoying that the box only comes with one so kudos to you for making your own instead of buying another one.

The conversion itself is quite good. It does look rather big, but if that is the look you were aiming for then no problem. All you need to do is model an ammo magazine onto the terminator to make the weapon complete. I like the picture of the terminator holding the cannon towards to camera - it looks mean as hell in the pic.

    Good work mate.

    Cheers,
    Rich.

Currently working on a second cannon for the squad, then I'll work on the ammo boxes and feed belts. I think a feed belt will look cooler than just a box on the side. I have the old plastic termis that had a heavy flamer and 0 assault cannons in the box.

Thanks for your input guys, I'll post the results when I'm done.

When i first saw 'ear bud stick' i was dubious.

but upon seeing your mighty conversion, i am now forced to eat my words. I will do so with mayonnaise.

They look really meaty man. THey're gonna hurt something.

    Well done

    Very nice
Just don't point it at me!

Why is everyone else on LO so good at things like this?

Pull yourself together man! If I can dispose of them, I can take the glory!
    *evil laugh*
...Oh, darn it. I just revealed my evil plan didn't I? Why do I always do that?

Give it a go buddy! Conversions are great and rewarding. With even just a little bit of forward planning you'll be surprised how effective you can make them.

Oi! Get you own evil scheme! This one's taken.

My conversions are pretty minor, but still I'm quite proud of them. Complicated ones are too much effort for a lazy bloke like me

Oh, okay I'll think about it...maybe...
    I prefer plotting though
