Welcome to Librarium Online!
Just wanted to get some opinions on this model.
The whole army has the dryad heads as a feature.
I made up two squads last year, models from those are in the gallery area.
The original squads have dryad heads modelled straight on the torso with just a little green stuff to build up a neck.
From now on though I want to extend the tentacles on the heads so that instead of standing out above the body, I want to them flow over the shoulders for a more natural/organic appearance.
So what do you think, have I succeeded in my intent?
I've shown this with before painting and with some basic colour blocking and highlighting, just to give you an idea of where it's going and how it will look.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Looks good though the tentacles make me think about Dreadlocks. But that's not a bad thing. I like it.
Just a question... what's up with the purity seals? As I (although, i'm not heavily into fluff) don't recall Chaos marines having those. Another question... how did you paint the "paper" from the seals? I really like the look of them.
Very VERY good.
I mixed the templar sprues with chaos too. It looks really sexy man. Nicely done

"They shall all taste OBLIVION!,.....which tastes like Red Bull, which is disgusting."
The purity seals...ummm...impurity seals maybe? I don't know, I just like them.
As for painting the purity seals, basecoat of Scorched Brown, cover that with two watery coats of Graveyard Earth, then pick out the raised detail with watered down Desert Yellow. Not seen in the photo is the next highlight, which will be a light mix of Bleached Bone & Desrt Yellow, applied to the very edges of the parchments.
When the model is complete, I'll post him up in the painting thread. Working on the Chosen in Terminator armour at the moment. Which means converting sonic weapons for each one and sticking a dryad head in and modelling up some more tentacles. Much harder in terminator armour, let me tell you. Much less space.
Thakns for the positive comments fellas. Much appreciated.
I love the head you used, very unique.
Just remove some of the more loyalist parts such as the crosses but like you said you would get to that I'm not entirely sold on the purityseal, sofar only the wordbearers keep em.
Ok, I had an idea for why my Emperors Children have "purity seals" adorning their armour.
If you check the back story for the E.C., the world their primarch was raised on was quite cultured and artistic, hence the E.C. developing sonic weaponry when they turned to Chaos.
Maybe instead of the purity seals being actual purity seals, they could be poetry or litanies in praise and honour of Slaanesh. Huh? Huh? That could work.
Ok, it's a stretch, but you guys asked, so I found a possible solution.
Really, they're only there because I like the way they look.
