ok, i'm gonna buy 2 vessels from the imp fleet and i was wondering, are their any rules on fleet colours? like the blue ultramarines and the red bloodangels?
Basicly my question is this:
-are there different fleets with different colour schemes?
-are their rules about what can and can't be used? (like space marines never use camo)
Thanks in advance!
I think that Space marines probably use fleet colours but I doubt anybody uses camo-colours. That would be useless in space. If you can't find anything precise about this I suggest you try to aim for realisim. Watch some Babylon 5 and look at the human ships they were designed to look realistic. Or look it up online. Try the new Battlestar Galactica. The look of that series is a gritty realistic one.
There are no realy camo space ships (as they don´t rely on visuil contact in battle) and i am quite sure that SM use their Chapers colours for their Battle Barges

alright, good to know, but there isn't a rigid scheme for imperial fleet models?
like "all ships are green coz the emperor said so!" ???
You can do whatever colours you like, I find somthing grimy works well for Imperial Ships, just do drybrushes of progressivly lighter colours, like this: http://www.librarium-online.com/show...hp?i=4514&c=60
