Hey, this is my third conversion attempt and I wanted to try and make a unique looking model for my Generalissimo. Here are some work in progress pictures from a while ago. I have him finished painted, but not based. I'm still figuring out what would be appropriatly heroic for him to stand on. More pictures tommorow.

looks pretty good from what I see so far. Good quality green stuffing. My only complaint Is that I don't feel the greatcoat is long enough. Mind you it might just be the angle or the flar of the coat that makes it look odd in comparison to his legs. I actually own a greatcoat (WWII RCAF) and it goes down to about my mid tibia, so about where the captains boot should start.
The pose seems a little odd to me too, mostly because I'm not fond of the position of the goggles.
Course, thats just my opinion, what really counts is that you're happy with it. It's still a great conversion job and you should be proud of it. Now If only I could apply what you've done to my CO.

I like the goggles...
The coat is OK I'd say, at least if you wanted to make it that short, if a greatcoat as Morkai described it is what you wanted to achieve, he's absolutely right, you should make it longer.
The sleeves look very good!
If you can get hold of some really fine sandpaper, you should use it on your coat. The texture still appears to be very rough.
I am not sure from the pictures, whether the collar has buttons or not, if not think about sculpting some.
Some more and better pics of the chainsword would be nice. At the moment it seems to be somehow positioned in a strange way, but this may result from the single pic...
Anyway, keep up your good work!

Awsome! While it's more of a long jacket now, I still think it looks awsoeme for a third attempt at converting!
Hey thanks everybody. You are all right, it is closer to a long coat instead of a greatcoat, but oh well. It still keeps him apart from the rest of the company. Hope to get more pictures up soon.
Too bad it doesn't have a bit fold from the neck over the shoulders. How else would he keep dry when the blood of his guardsmen rains from the sky (darn that bassie indirect fire). Hope you don't mind if I try and make some grenadiers with greatcoats like yours. If they look half as good as yours, yet twice as long, then I'd be proud.
