Hey I am new to these forums and to Warhammer 40k. Now I am collecting a Tyranid army and I am having a lot of difficulty deciding on a color scheme. I would really appreciate any ideas. I am going for an army that is not incredibly fruity looking, but bright colors/combos are ok. I know I am being a little vague, but I am having a very tough time deciding on anything. I have looked through the codex and the only ones I really liked were the really white ones, but they didn't catch my eye too much.
Anyway any type of color scheme would be welcomed.

Have a look in the gallery of this site. There is a sweet orange colour scheme in there IMO

Have a look at the nids in the gallery, they should give some idea.
For a more personal suggestion from myself I would say you could try painting then in maybe 4-5 colours and try to make them as different as possible... very much contrast if you know what I mean.
Choose maybe say two shades of brown, any bony colour and then maybe a couple of shades of orange.
It would proparbly make for a nice contrast looking army that really cought the eye, but I can't say for sure as I don't play and paint 'nids myself, I only see em at tournements.

I WAS IN THE IMPERIAL (Norwegian) GUARD!
The best looking 'Nid army I've ever seen was done all in browns and blacks. It looked like cockroaches swarming -- really creepy. Sorry, no pic's anywhere I know of.
