Well this is my first ever converted model as I am pretty bad at modeling of any kind and i just wanted to know what the average player think. err....you guys think.
Dont hurt my feelings too bad...
Oh and by the way, its just some random HQ or squad leader I guess for something.... not too sure yet...
Hope you like it
Edit: Im not sure how to just get a picture of the mini rather than linking to Photbucket so if someone could PM me with an explanation it would be much appreciated.

Doesn't look too bad. A nice and easy weapons swap. It is kind of hard to make out details on the picture. Is that conversion for 40k or for WH40k? I am guessing for 40k.
You might want to start conversions like this with a clear picture in your mind (especially equipment wise, for the WYSIWYG reason). I guess that might be your problem. It is a lot easier to convert something if you know what you want to do with it afterwards. (I am not trying to bring you down here.)
P.S.: Since you are using photobucket it is fairly simple to put the picture into the post instead of the link. Instead of copying the URL link (the first of the three links under the picture in your account) you need to simply copy the IMG code into your message and you're done. click on "preview post" to make sure it actually worked.:shifty:
Shut up and play.
As far as weapon swaps go, thats a solid job. And weapon swaps are a great place to start converting and posing. Starts with a weapon swap, that moves into turning the wrist to get a more dynamic angle, and pretty soon that turns into splicing limbs to create an entire squad charging into combat with field patched armor, topknots and alien weaponry while the sargent dives for cover and shoots at the same time.
At least, that's how it went for me.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: Are you wounded?
Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
I pretty much just switche dthe head and wepon from some WHFB chaos guy and added an eldar head to the base to look more like 40k. I suppose I can use it as a spartan looking marine. Im thinking of adding a cape too. Thanls for your comments and advice, I appreciate it.
I like it. I like it a lot.
I don't have anything constructive or critical to add other than I look forward to seeing more. MORE. MORE!!

I like it alot. Its a nice and simple conversion that works very well. Ususally I don't like big helmet plumes, but they really suit this guy - makes him look lots taller and therefore more intimidating. Great work overall.
The one part of the model I think could do with more work is the base. The addition of an Eldar helmet is a nice touch, but I think the base needs a little more to give it that extra bit of pazzaz (is that even a word:w00t. It is surprising how much a good base can set off a model, and I think this guy will look very nice indeed when based up.
Good work mate, I look forward to seeing pictures of the rest of your work. Please post more.
i 2nd karmoons comments.
i like it, reminds me of 300 which is my fav movie at the moment, and dont think there is anything you really need to do to improve it
92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are part of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your signature.
Prog rock FTW!
This is alittle arbite I made for my inquisition armies. He has a kind of riot sheild I made from some random bit off the Chimera sprue and some snow im not too proud of. All I really did though was add the bit to his arm.
And here is another pic of the Praetorian I guess... Just touched him up a bit and fixed his polearm a bit.
I made this cool little rock out of marine shoulder pads glued together and cut up that I might stick on the Custodus's base. Oh and by the way... I made all these like a year ago so 300 had not come out yet but now I want to make some more simialer models and make a nice little squad.
I realize they are not the clearest and im working on the issue. Hope you like them ^_^
