As I'm doing my Dark angels army, I'd like to paint on bigger DA symbols on my rhino's than the ones on the transfersheets. More like the stuff pictured in the codex. Or like the Rhino here. However, I'm no hero at freehanding. No hero as in really poor when it comes to freehanding.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows any pictures I could find in a book or online to resize and print out for use as templates.
Well, given this was in the painting sub-forum, I guess it would be quite logical that I meant any kind of symbols, as a template, not to glue on.
Anyway, I did some searching and found something usefull on the spanish GW site.
They have a great set of Dark Angels vehicle upgrades on the Ravenwing Sprue. Get a bike box, or an attack squad box, and you'll get all sorts of them. You get three sprues in the big Ravenwing box, which is just awesome.
I already have loads of those sprues and bits around here.
The thing is I want to paint a DA symbol on top of my rhino hatch. The big hatch behind the turrets on top. I tried with a paper cutout, but it pretty much messed up. So now I'll be cleaning that up, and then I'll be trying cardboard I guess. If the result is presentable I'll surely post a pic
Anyway, I'm sure with patience you could free hand a symbol, but that'd take many layers and what not.
Or take one of those large and impressive bits, cut it down the middle, and glue that on the hatch halves. Just a few thoughts.
Sorry for the stupid question guys, but what would you use the Brass Etchings sprues for?
