im repainting my BoC army, and need some cooll cloth colour that would match the scorched brown skin!
i've tried a bubonic brown coat with a bleached bone highlight.. didnt work out that great.. got any ideas? i was wandering shadow grey... or catachan green(just seems a little bit too nurglish to me)
pls help a guy in dire peril
well, what kinda army do you want it to be? specifically based on 1 of the great powers or making it look more like chaos undivided?
Or perhaps make them look like mutated empire soldiers: give them all the colours of an emperial province (by giving them all blue and yellow stiped cloth)
i would say if going for the chaos colours go for this:
Nurgle: grays, browns and greens mixed
Slaanesh: purple, pink and/or black
Tzeentch: direct contrast colours: yellow and purple, blue and orange, green and red.
CU: reds and blacks.
i always think a dark color like brown goes well with something light, so if you're going for grey be sure to highlight it.

oh yeah sorry.. its for an undivided host..
red and black was a posibility. maybe scab red would look good together with the dark brown. I saw a beastmen plog on warseer, where a guy painted orange yellow tatoos across the torsoes of each model.. looked awesome!
this yellow maybe would not fit scab red, so maybe i should choose another tatoo colour, or another clothes colour than red...
For the cloth, why not try "dirty" cream? Mixed Bleached Bone and Bestial Brown together and highlight, then weather the bottom to look muddied, perhaps with blood splatter?
