Welcome to Librarium Online!
i own some lizardmen and i was curious about a convertion. Lizardmen are based in design on a south american culture. and one of the main icons in that culture is the wingend or feathered snake.
I'm not very good at convertion yet and i wanted some advice on parts best used in making Quetzalqoatl.
I want to try to make a anthro version of it, thus having armes and weapons.
The hood i think i can make easely from greenstuff basinbg it on a body of a Saurus, and the wings are chosen from eagle ones or so.
THe big part is the snake body. preferrably i would find a suitable snakelike body to work with. But as for now, i don't have clue which one would be suitable.
Maybe someone can come up with a good suggestion?
The Slaaneshi daemonic steed? You'd have to do some filing/GS work to get rid of the boobs on the model though.
Let me find a link.
there you go. Not sure if it's what you want... But it is snake-like =]
If the Daemonic Steed doesn't work you could also look into Dragon tails... High Elves have an interesting one as do Dark Elves... and there are always the collectors range of dragons as well. Did Quetzalcoatl have a feathered tail? I know one did just can't remember who, but if he did you might want to look at the Dark Elf metal tail.
Onto the arms weapons and head... for the arms I would consider the arms of flamers of tzeetch, they are long frail looking arms, very snake like on their own, you could put any hands you want on them, I think beastmen would look good and maybe even a beastman head
theres my opinion, now back to your regularly scheduled helpful input
They're ladies. We can't hit ladies.
No, no. They're Daemonettes. They'll tear you limb from limb and steal your soul
But sar, thats what ladies do.
If you can find one of the 6th edition annuals, during the albion campaign there was a dinosaur list which could take a Coatl.
If i remember correctly, they took a plastic dragon neck and tail, glued it into one continuous body and put a classic dragon head on it (not sure if it was the high elf, dark elf, or chaos one ) as well as the Lord of Change's wings (though i figure any bird wings would work just as well.)
Dear All Concerned,
Well, if you are not short on money you can use a hydra head on the hydra tail. (With some GS).

I had a very similar idea some-time ago, except I thought of using the Lord of Change for the base of the conversion; its already feathered, and I really liked the head for a Quetzalcoatl figure.
Just a minor nit-pick, but Quetzalcoatl was actual a primary Aztec diety, not Incan, though I do believe the Inca had some variation on a plumed serpent.
