Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've been trying to think of ways to show the HNO upgrade for certain Kroot units, similar to how WYSIWYG Tyranid broods model biomorphs. I have no idea what or where the Kroot nymune organ is, but maybe it involves the sensory quills? I don't know what I could do to the quills to make the HNO apparent, though.
As an alternative I was thinking about adding rear spurs on the legs. They would be subtle but noticeable, though unfortunately spurs don't actually add speed to anything.
I'd love to hear your ideas :)
I'd assume that it's an organ, which aren't generally visible on the outside, maybe you could show them having it by modeling them in really dynamic positions, or perhaps give them longer quills and make them kinda flowing behind them.

You could try to some how model them with shorter thighs. I think that this Kroot organ you want makes them go faster. In nature creatures which can run quickly have shorter thigh-bones. If you look at the Velociraptor, that fast moving dinosaur in Jurrasic park, it has small thighs compared to rest of it's legs. Here is a link showing Velociraptor skeletons.velociraptor skeleton - Google Image Search
You could achieve this look by cutting down the tops of the Kroot's thighs, you would need to do a fair bit of work to stick them on, perhaps green stuff work. The effect would be odd looking but it would be original and very distinctive.
Thanks for the ideas! I like the mental picture of longer quills trailing in the Kroot's wake.
Interesting idea and information, thanks! I also took a look at some cheetah photos (can't seem to find any photos of just the skeleton), and while they have very long legs overall, it does seem that the upper leg is a bit shorter proportionately. Doing a similar thing to a Kroot would definitely make them stand out.
Thanks again to both of you!
Any other takers?
sorry i dont have any more suggestions for you, just wanted to comment on leechs comments.
