Hey all, decided to jump into the deep end and for my first big conversion I am working on my treeman! It's abit of a mix between the stuff on the GW site which isnt a prob, but the other part is I wanted to extend on the root/tree trunks that hold him up. Rather like mangrove roots. The problem I'v found on this is: How to hide where the legs originaly end? I'm trying to just put greenstuff and bitz over the top rather than any serious metal hacking? Has anyone else tried this kinda thing or something similar? Any helpful sugestions? Ill try puting photos up as soon as I work out just how on earth I can do that.
If you're clever with the greenstuff, you can blend the Treeman's legs into the roots. How experienced are you with greenstuff? Me, I'm terrible with it. I do blobs and gap filling. That's it.
Well, I'v done a bits of small conversions with greenstuff but mostly gap filling, but I'd its all been fairly ammature. Plan I'v come up with was using dryad bits and wire wriped with green stuff.
If you want to use Dryad parts you will need to use a lot of GS as well. But blending these bits into other parts is comparably easy. I did it on one of my current projects (no pics, sorry).
If you do not find an other solution you like go with the Dryads and enhance you skills with GS doing so.
