ha anyone got the black templars forgeworld dread if so can you post some pics of it as i would love to see some more as i am thinking of getting one and also what quality did they come in
although the quality one can apply to any dread
Sorry mate, I've not got the BT dread from FW (yet) so I cannot provide you with any pictures of it, I can however give you a little advice on the quality of FW products.
I have one of the FW Mark 4 venerable dreadnoughts, which is a stunning piece of resin. The first one of these I ordered came in terrible condition, with much of the detail covered by extra bits of resin and loads of air bubbles. I E-mailed FW about this and they sent me a replacement immediately with no quibble at all - and the new dread was in great condition. All I'm saying here is that FW can have some quality problems, but they are usually very good when it comes to rectifying those problems so check the model and let them know if its not up to the standard.
I've got several other models from FW, and the dread is the only one I've had major problems with. FW models do require more work than the normal GW stuff, but it is really worth it if you have the patience to clean up the mold lines etc.
Hope this helps mate:yes:
So in short, be prepared for a lot of prepwork, Lot of greenstuffing, and lots of diligence because you are going to need it...
"This sure ain't no pansy Eldar Armor, Son"
185th Cadian Armored Div.
"One Shot, One Kill"
Western Border Patrol of Athel Loren
I havnt got the dread but all the order iv done have been ok out of say 20 orders iv done 2 had broken/missing bits, most of the stuff i collect is FW stuff as you can see from my threads (DKoK/renegades)
I would like the dread tho as i do think its one of the best dreads there done.
I've got some pics :w00t:
Dunno if you've already seen these...but the first place to look when wanting a ForgeWorld model is the FW website Black Templar's Venerable Dreadnought
I realise these are the FW advertising ones, but they're certainly good pictures IMO.
As for quality, what everyone else said. Sometimes OK, sometimes not. Customer support is normally good though.
