I was in the process of trying to remove the head of a metal vet sarge.
Warhammer 40,000 - Space Marines
second one in the link
and my friggin clippers broke. so my question is, how do i remove the head? ive heard a jewelers saw, but im not sure what that looks like and it is kinda a craped area, so i need help
The only others things to use apart from clippers are saws such as the modelling saw sold by GW or other small saws which are basically the same as junior hack saws, because its cramped you might find it hard to get around the shoulder pads but to remedy this you could cut the arms off by cutting vertically down the shoulder pad this would give more room and the arms should be able to be stuck on fairly simply with pinning. However this is more of a last resort kind of thing so its just a possibility, i wouldn't rush in to doing that straight away as it could cost you a fairly expensive model. Hope it helps.
EDIT: After looking at the models a bit more cutting off the arms might be a little more tricky, on the Sergeants whose weapon hilt is touching the leg, and im no expert but you may be able to drill the head out using a pin vice and then filing it down from the inside the hole? if someone else who knows a bit more about that could comment on that it might help.

Boris for PM! Go Bojo
I use a drill. I snip the head off as best as I can with my flush-cut dikes, and then drill the 'neck' out. Because the plastic heads have necks on them, this works great.
The original head does get destroyed in the process, however...

Or you can just do what aero said, get a drill. $20 dollar dremel kit from walmart should work fine.
A dremel is probably the best way to go.
