I think it looks great! I like the bones sticking out of the flesh.

Stellar work on the back. Like Katalyst said, might want to try keeping the solid red up toward the edge and stipple/drybrush out from it. I think it would really come to life if you just kept it to a thin red line along the blade and then added sprays arcing up from the burrs on the blade
Edit: hrm, would it spurt 'upward' or 'downward' along the blade from the burr? Not exactly something we can go out back and test, hit the CSI reruns! I suppose whichever works better from a compositional standpoint is the best answer for a mini.
