Here's my new wraithlord. I painted it up for the last painting comp in this forum, the machines one, but wasn't able to find a camera in time. Not so sure it would've been allowed anyway - I mean, it sorta is a machine of war, but then, it sorta ain't.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out - the blending and all. I think the sword was the best bit - hard to see in this photo. But I feel the gems coulda been better - thankfully, also hard to see on this photo! Repositioning/greenstuffing the legs felt good too - I feel the normal pose is just a little too static.
This photo thingy is the best I can do at the moment, using a camera phone, and its hard to stop the blur too - i made a stand out of blue-tac, seemed to help a bit with stability. Don't have much time at the moment either - dont know that i'll be able to finish my techpriest in time for the current comp. (Or that i'll be able to take a good photo!).
Anyway, just wondering what you guys think of the paint scheme. I mean, you know how it is - paint up one mini from a particular army, and you get cravings to paint up the other 2000 points....
They called it a latte lord at the local gw, seeing as it looks quite like one in colour.
What do you guys think? Should I make an army to go with?
"Pickles, the drummer, doodily doo. (Ding-dong, doodily, doodily, doo.)"
Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
