Hi everyone. I have run two searches and have come up empty on this. I am starting a new army of Tyranid and want to paint them quickly. I've been thinking of spray primer folloewd by an air brush cover then dry brushing and detail work. The questions are as follows.
1 Has anyone tried this?
2 Has anyone used a template for the markings on the bodies of the tyranids?
3 Can you use the airbrush for shading without loosing the detail.
Keep them on the spru. prime them on it, and paint them like an assembly line. Then clip them off and put them together.
I don't think it's good to do the painting on the sprue, because then you have little parts where you haven't painted or primed. Plus sometimes the rest of the sprue blocks your way. I think that a predator color scheme would be nice, all black and maybe some grey highlights. If you don't want to be lazy, then use drybrushing to your advantage.
