would it be ok to use the Bronak the Terrible model from
Darkwater Miniatures :: Arcane Miniatures
OR Vijkhal the Brave from
Orcs of Bran O Kor and Behemoth :: Rackham Confrontation :: Arcane Miniatures
as my black orc warboss and do you think that there would there be undue protest from fellow gamers if i was to use the models, does anyone frequently use non-GW minis for warhammer battles and if you do is it often you get people whining??
Certainly you could use any miniature you want to to represent anything.
In most situations(friendly games and such) most people won't complain as long its still WYSIWYG.
At GW tournaments(RTTs, GDs, etc), or in GW stores, though, you must use GW miniatures, no exceptions. They have modelling rules: 80%+ must be GW mini excluding scratch built stuff(which is allowed) and parts.
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
Pretty much what the yak said if your going to use one in a gw store then have a back up gw one to replace the model i can't stress this enough. I don't like the lahmian vampires so i use Reaper models instead but i always carry a gw replacement in case someone complains.
