Hey guys. Here is a dakka fex I recently finished. I'm wanting feedback on 2 things.
1) What do you think of the green tip of the devourer? Do you think it would look better if it were another color?
2) Should I even bother with the ammo arm and ammo feeding tubes? I'm thinking of just leaving them off the model...

Excellent work! The carapace in particular impresses me.
1) I like the green :) It works well with the tongue.
2) I think it looks great as it is now, though you'd lose fluff points for not having six limbs on a 'nid. For that reason alone I'd suggest putting the other arms on, but if you're happy with how it is, feel free to leave it -- it looks fine!
Personally I think they look great, I like the green I think it contrasts with the rest of colour scheme beautifully. Dunno about the ammo arm to be honest as I don’t really know anything about nids, but I'd say it looks fine as it is, and you know what they say "if it ain't broke don't fix it"

I think the green looks good. Decent paint job overall. The carapace looks pretty good, I would reccomend a little more highlighting along the edges with some lighter white. The red as well, Its nice and rich, it looks well done, but there's no "pop" when I see some of your other figures, you have some nice lighter tones in the red to bring it out, just a little more...

WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
i am totally stealing your idea for the arms. it looks excellent! The "shields" on each arm give it a good weight. The green looks good as well, and you can fluff it away by saying that the entire cone is a muscle that shoots out the worms.
Re: the 6 limb debate, i think if you have feeder arms made, go for it, otherwise you could model an atrophied shoulder / limb for fluffs sake (kinda like the baby arms on the gaunts)
Green looks cool. Paint job is splendid!
