I had an idea to create a few rough riders and I wnated to see if anyone has tryed this.
The warhammer tomb kings have those skeleton horses, my thinking was to paint the skeletons in a matalicc color to make them look mechanized.
What do you guys think? Is this conversion possable?
Dear All Concerned,
Well, it is very possible if you wish to spend the time and the money, but I have a few tips for you:
1.If you are really thinking of doing this then get in touch with your Bits side at Battle Wagon Bits, http://www.bwbits.com/. Here are a few things you can do.
1.Pick up a box set of rough riders from your local store, about ten bucks per rider.
Set, 5 riders.
Total Price: 50.00
2.Head over to BWBits and pick up five of these:
Around four bucks a piece.
Total Price: 70.00
Now you need to do a bit of conversion work to get these boys to fit on the skinny little skeletons. Some GS saddles and such may work. For a great Rough Riders conversion check out Bobahat's topic,
Hope this Helped, but if you need more help feel free to PM me.

FOr a very very nice mechanical horse you can try one of these:
Games Workshop Online Store — Engineer on Mechanical Steed (1 Figure)
(It would make for a rather expensive squad)
Shut up and play.
be prepared to have to add loads of bitz to look like servo's, engines and such.
Use guitar string to add piping, insert bitz from the hvy weapons team (=lascannon without muzzle, the mortar) inside the ribcage or in the empty space where his stomach used to be.
if you're really good make it look like this:
i think the idea is very invocative, it would be very cool in an =I= army!
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
Voor alle nederlanders:
The Dutch Legion
That would look nice. I'll have to see what I can do.
