I'm having real problems with painting the C'Tan Deceiver.
His face and streaming robes are causing me particular problems using the "vanilla" paint scheme from the Codex.
I was wondering if anyone had had particular success painting him and what techniques they used?
I was also wondering if anyone had seen or came up with alternative colour schemes to paint him?
I'd appreciate any help the forum could give me.
I remember I touched up a display Deciever for my local GW. Basically he was all bronze and then inked with chestnut. I added gold to him using a small brush and then mixed gold and silver to make some areas lighter.
I gave his robes an extra wash with brown ink to make them look different from the rest of him. The thing you must remember about paintint either of the C'tan is that they are mainly cloth and muscly flesh.
It is best to take you time on them and use blending and highlighting methods and don't try any quick fix paint jobs on them. The C'tan lack much in the way of details so they need above average paint jobs or they will just look boring. Basically take your time in painting him.
