In the Novel Dawn of War : Ascension the Blood Ravens uncovered a sleeping group of Necrons including some kind of Necron Lord that was described as "a glowing golden skinned figure". I was thinking of trying to do a model like this. It would obviously be less machine-like than the normal Necron Lord, and more like a mini C'Tan in appearance.
I was thinking about building a lord similar to the one in the game... I haven't gotten past getting the bits. My main problem is the fact that I don't have any good 'buff' looking legs. Warrior legs are just too small and I don't think pariah legs will look good. Perhaps immortal legs, but you can't really model those...
So far what I have is the destroyer lord body and arms.
Good luck! It is a good project I like non-standard lords.

Well since nec legs are really just sticks..
why not glue 2-3 sticks together...there ya go problem solved
use cron legs and putty or guitar string on like metallic muscles
Sounds like a good idea. If you do get it started put some pictures up! Mabey non necron legs of some sort would work.
Weren't the old necrons a little bulkier? May be hard to come by, but they might be more useful then the current legs.
Sleeping, not dead.

old necrons were sweet, Old Destroyers mainly...
Oh, the days when a destroyer died and came back as a warrior
On a painting note, if you have dark crusade, build and examine the necron destroyer lord.
hope this helps
"Like frenzied beasts, they was. But I tell you, there was never a sweeter sound than the howls of the Wulfen that night."
