unless youre taking demo charges dont take special weapon squads just take ratlings as proxies-ex 3 sniper special weapons squad = same price as 6 ratlings and way too much spent on your hq despite the urge to give him close combat upgrades keep it cheap he will never survive more than 1(maybe) assault per game if you want a character to survive close combat for a while use Commisar Yarrick-special character he is very survivable because of the force field(20+ orks in close combat with yarrick..........yarrick survives 2 turns>_< wow)
Thanks for the advice Dakka,Dakka,Dakka.
What's with the spacing here, you make me do so much scrolling.
Make the HQ a heroic seinior officer because ld is what vox is about and get rid of most of his wargear.
The refractor field: you will have a better cover save than that with chameleoline
Carapace armour: you should be able to get at least that save from cover, but if you dont get him 3+ with chameleoline than something is wrong.
Medalion crimson: Points could probably be spent better elsewhere.
Trademark item: doesnt go down vox.
Plasma Pistol: too many points for something he shouldnt have to use, he will be hiding after all, make it a bolt pistol because for its point it is much better than a laspistol.
Medic: If you really want him than use him, but if you need some points look to him.
Mortar: good, keep it.
Same point about turning the snipers into ratlings. If you dont like ratling models than most people will sympathise and let you use cadian snipers as ratlings.
Vets look ok, but experiment with plasma guns here as the higher ballistic skill makes the risk of plasma more worth taking.
Troops are where i like to put my grenade launchers, but if you like plasma here than go for it.
Dont put sentinels of different patterns in the same squad, make 2 squads of 1 here and put one as a support squad in the HQ
I wouldnt bother with HKMs or ACCs. You cant rely on a HKM to even hit as BS 3, and is it really worth the points for 1 shot? The ACC isn't worth it, as AV10 will break like glass anyways.
This basilisk is good, but where's its partner? You need 2 of these to cover the blind area. Other wise you will have a massive blind area that the enemy can hide in to avoid being hit.
What is your target point level here? 1771 seems a bit odd.
what do you call a lasgun with a laser sight?
