    1850 GK - Tournament

    This is my first attempt at trying to put together a RT Army for the Grey Knights.

    HQ = Grandmaster & 5 man retinue = 415 points
    - GM has mastercrafted NFW
    - TH + SS

    Elite = Inquisitor & retinue = 168 points
    - Inq. Psycannon
    - Acolyte w artificer armor
    - 3 Gun Servitors w/ Hvy Bolters
    - 2 Sages

    Troops = 8 man PAGK = 230 points
    - Justicar w/ Melta bombs

    Troops = 8 man PAGK = 226 points
    - Justicar w/ Targeter

    Fast Attack = 8 man PAGK = 230 points
    - Justicar w/ Melta bombs

    Fast Attack = 8 man PAGK = 230 points
    - Justicar w/ Melta bombs

    Heavy = Dread = 133 points
    - Auto Cannon
    - Missile Launcher
    - Xtra Armor
    - Smoke

    Heavy = Dread = 148 points
    - TL Lascannon
    - Missile Launcher
    - Xtra Armor
    - Smoke

    Heavy = Orbital Strike(Melta Torpedo) = 80 points


    Any advice/changes is more then welcome.

    If you're going to mastercraft something, mastercraft the GM's NFW! At BS 5, he won't be missing with that psycannon very much. Furthermore, because he has the psycannon, he doesn't need scourging at all. In fact, the GM really doesn't need any psyker powers.

    Again, you're close. The inquisitor must have a psycannon, however! The sages boost his BS to 5, so take advantage of it. I'd also drop either one sage or the mystic for another gun servitor. If you're taking a heavy bolter servitor, drop the sage so you can still get free shots at deep strikers (a single reroll isn't so important on HBs). But if you're taking the plasma cannon, drop the mystic as the reroll will prevent your PC from overheating.

    These are great squads, but neither should have the TP homers. As footsloggers, they can't drop your FAGKs into any position they couldn't actually be in just by footslogging themselves. And if that's how you really want to use them, as reinforcements/support units for ground troops, then use them that way and don't deep strike at all! All those extra stormbolters shots and targets for your enemy to have to deal with will be very handy.

    Thanks for the ideas. Made the changes. Had one poitn left so I threw a targeter on one of the Justicars instead of letting the point fall of into the warp.


    What ideas do you have if I wanted to incorporate to IG squads in place of the PAGK squads for the 2 Troop Slots? Good or Bad move?

    I would like to have an army that I could change up from time to time instead of playing the same troop order of Battle.

    Aha, we don't see many autocannon's round here. But I like it.

    Not a big fan of strikes, but that's just me. If any, I like the lance strike. Big str, low AP.
