    2000pt Imperial Fist [Tournament]

Okay, so the primary theme here is I wanted to get a little bit from each of the different type of marine, although I suppose I am missing marines from command and veteran (although the termies are just vets in better armor, and command are just glorified tactical marines).

My idea behind this army is that it would be an example of an escalating marine force, with scouts making first contact with enemy forces, calling in the backup of the main force, kitted out to deal with a wide range of foes. The addition of the vindicator and whirlwind seemed very Fisty to me, as they would be useful in breaking enemy fortifications.

So without further ado, the list:

2000 Pts - Imperial Fists Roster - Pylades III Mobile Response Force

Demolisher Cannon; Storm Bolter; Extra Armor; Smoke Launchers

    Heavy Support: Whirlwind (85 Pts)
    1 Whirlwind
    Whirlwind Multiple Missile Launcher

    Total Roster Cost: 1999

    Total Vehicles: 4
    Total Marines: 61

    Thoughts?
For one, I've been toying with the idea of dropping the scout squad with the heavy bolter and replacing it with 2 attack bikes with heavy bolters, for some more mobility / shootiness. I'm not so sure though, as I like having 6 troops choices, although not having the units very flushed out makes me sad as is (Could drop the whirlwind for some more snipers, and some more padding to my las/plas teams, but this seems sort of unnecessary).

Looks like a pretty solid list. 1 small thing. Those Assault Termies need a teleport homer to come down on. Give it to the scouts. Have 2 so that if one squad gets wiped, you're still golden. Ohter than that, really no biggies. Good Luck.

I actually have 2. One is in the assault squad and the other is in the tactical squad that doesnt escort the librarian. I would put it on the scouts, but considering their role, I dont want to have to upgrade to a vet sarge in order to take it.

Ah, didn't see em there, good good. I like the list. It's got some mobility, some firepower, some versatility. AND, it's not cookie-cutter. Hooray for creativity!
