Also, it's definitely worthwhile to find points to give the retinue a psycannon, too. This is really the only unit composition that I think hurts your list. There is absolutely no good reason to tool up a mere human to fight in close combat with your PAGKs and GKTs for that task. You're spending so many points on this unit, and it just won't perform that well. It has mixed armour, it's slow, it's easily shot down as it approaches, and no model is stronger or tougher than a lame-o human ... and it's sucking valuable points away from actual utility.Originally Posted by Krzysio
If you want more close combat potential, pick GKs and only GKs. The only truly useful build for an inquisitor is shooty: psycannon on the inquisitor, 0-1 plasma cannon servitors, 2-3 heavy bolter servitors, 2 sages, 1-2 mystics, possibly 0-3 acolytes with bolters. Such a squad is significantly cheaper pointswise, but it's also incredibly deadly as a fire support unit. Deploy in cover, and the lack of decent armour becomes a negligible liability.Always fun!Originally Posted by KrzysioI would recommend against the psycannons here. As you march these guys around, the psycannons' range doesn't match with the majority stormbolters. Furthermore, you've just doubled the cost of your GK to weaken him down to a lame, bog-standard space marine. When you get into assault, this model will be bogging you down.Originally Posted by Krzysio
Keep your GKs vanilla ... pretty much always. Spend the points putting psycannons on GKTs and inquisitors instead. Drop the psycannons here and turn your inquisitor into a shooty one, and you might even have the points to get yourself another GKT up top.I don't have any personal experience with inducted IG, but these seem like pretty solid choices.Originally Posted by KrzysioGet extra armour on this guy; you're going to need it to keep him alive!Originally Posted by KrzysioLooks solid.Originally Posted by Krzysio
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
