I bought a PE when I first started my WH about a year ago and it hasn't seen much use at all as it was too vunerable in games above 1000 points. I want to find out if it's any good in a combat patrol game with the limited selections that my opponents will have. Just want to know if you guys have used one in a combat patrol and if they are any good. Also looking for feedback on this list. C&C welcome. P.S. my main opponent will be Chaos.
Confessor Nikolai Vladislav (Priest)
Laspistol, Power Weapon.
Sister Superior with Bolt Pistol, Close Combat Weapon, 4 Celestians with Bolters, Heavy Flamer.
Rhino with Smoke Launchers.
Battle Squad 1
Veteran Superior with Bolt Pistol, Close Combat Weapon, 9 Battle Sisters with Bolters, Meltagun.
I'm also looking for how PEs do in Patrol, but the best answers I've really gotten is "Whoa, that sounds like it could be fun" and "PEs are kinda bad... wait, you mean in Combat Patrol?"
I need the bugger so I can see!
I personally prefer eviscerators on priests because S3 power weapons usually don't cause much damage. While eviscerators are more expensive, for me at least they make the priest much more useful.
I would keep the bolters on the sister superiors. Both should avoid combat for the most part, so bolters will probably do more damage because of the better range and (slightly) higher shot output.
I've never used or seen arcos/p.engines in combat patrol, so I can't help much there.
