5 Assault Terminators (Furious Charge) 215
The main idea here is to throw down the small tactical squads and try and take out a tank or two before the termies land. I would take two Lascannons but i only have 1 lascannon model. Why i am here i'll ask a question im not sure of...It says that you make one roll for all the terminators and place them independently so can i deepstrike the librarian squad first and have the other squads go around him because he has a homer?
The homer had to be on the table at the beginning of the turn to work, so that wouldn't work. (Read the end of the rules for it in the Codex.) As for the list itself, I can't comment being quite new to 40K.
I took a lysander wing to baltimore(2-2-1) and im very experienced with it.
You are gonna want a squad of tank hunting cyclones.
You NEED to drop the tac squads and get 2 scout squads with homers, so you can infiltrate the scouts and deepstrike off their t-homers.You want to be able to lay down mass fire when you drop in, otherwise you are too far away and will take another round of fire.
I would drop the assualt termies and get a 3 man squad of bikes with 2 meltasor beef up the remaining squads.
In my 1750 list I had 2 squads of 5 w/2 assualt cannons, lysander with 4 termies w/cyclones and a big libby w/ heavy flamers. My troops were 2 8 man scout squads w/ homers and 3 bikes w/ meltas.
The biggest thing is you dont always have to come in as soon as possible, Ive rerolled till turns 4 and 5 a couple of times.
Ok thanks for the replys as for the scouts thats a great idea because my idea doesn't work like i wanted it too or at all. I only have 5 scout models w/snipers atm and i really don't feel like gettng that many more. Bikes are a possibility maybe give them a homer and turbo boost might be a decent idea. Well, anyhow thanks for the ideas and i'll look into them.
I'm going to disagree with Evil_blue. I saw his list at GT (I even came up and commented on your lack of Assault Cannons)
There are 2 ways to run a Lysander List. Most people use Lysander becuase you can win games with him. If you want to win games, then you need to shove as many asscannons in the list as possible.
That means Lysander with 2, and 3 elite squads with 2. Personally I drop the Librarina at 1500 points, and instead include 2 LST's. with this set-up, you don't need ANY additional Anti-Tank. I beat 2 Armored Company lists in the first round of Ard-Boys with my Lysander List. That many assault cannons will chew through any amount of armor your opponent can throw at you.
So your list is:
Lysander with squad (2 ac's)
Elite squad (2 ac's) X3
then 2 squads of CC scouts with Vet and T-homer. make them as big as you can with the left over points...which makes them 6 or 7 guys each.
that gives you a total of 10 Assault Cannons, and 20 2+ saves at 1500 points. A VERY difficult pill for any list to swallow.
If you want a good list that is fun to play, with out the horrendous cheese factor, one that your friends won't dis-own you for using then seriously take evil_blue's ideas into consideration.
Thanks Sinjin for the post the only problem is i have is that i don't have that many shooty terminators. i have 15 shooty ones 2 with A. Cannons atm but i plan on getting 4 more assault cannons to convert them soon and i have 5 assault terminators so i would have to switch one of the elites for assaults.
I have the LST's but i only 5 sniper scouts and i really don't want to get more...but i guess im going to have to since there seems no other way to deepstrike em good.
Fair enough sinjin. I feel a libby(with FoD) is almost mandatory in a list with so few models, as the wrong pyschic power can effectively cripple or destroy one your FEW scoring units.
Bikes are debateble, but there nothing like turboosting them and then deepstriking off them in your oppenents deployment zone.
I would recommend sinjins setup if you get frustrated easily as this will net you the most wins.
Just remeber that when you deepstrike, you must inflict as much damage as possible right away, his setup will do that moreso over mine. Although a successful Fear of the Darkness works wonders.
