    [1500] Pure Grey Knights

    Hiya everyone,

    So this is my first attempt at a pure Grey Knights army and I basically built my list on gut instinct born of my experience with Space Marines and what would look cool in my opinion, in addition to trying to make a balanced list that is reasonably "mobile" without having to resort to Land Raiders and has sufficient firepower. I appreciate that Grey Knights aren't like regular Space Marines so I submit this to you for your opinions...

    Now, I've got 110 points left and I'm wondering what I should do with it. Should I just drop the extra psycannons from the PAGKs and get more of them or do something else?

    I would get rid of the psycannons on your PAGKs and get another squad of them. Give your dreads missile launchers on top of the lascannons. Beef up your squads with the extra points, and there is no harm in having some of your GK squads be fast attack, you can place them later that way.

    Drop one psycannon from each of your grey knight squads, and drop the brother captain(take a retinue), you should have points for another 6 men squad with a psycannon. This way you will have less cannons but more troops. Make them 2 troop choices and two fast attack choices.

    I thought as much. Not enough Grey Knights. So, I've taken all suggestions into consideration. I just have one question about tactics, though - would you ever deep-strike FAGKs? If so, in what situation? Or would you just put them into FA slots because you get to deploy them last (which is definitely an asset)?

    ad FAGKs:
    First, you don't loose anything when using Grey Knights as Fast Attack (except for the 2 mandatory troop choices)
    Second, I can see Grey Knights with Incinerators deepstriking on Teleport Homers could be very efficient imo.

    I'm naturally against teh randomness of Deep Striking, but if theres a good opportunity I'll take it, but still, FAGKs have the awesome advantage of being deployed last.

    hey i have been playing a pure gk army for a while and i run a pretty similar list but i recon to beef up your cores to a list 6 as it tends to last a little longer.....also i rarly use psycannons to many points, dont see the reason in losing a s6 attack.....
    the only time i deep strike them is when im playing tua or a really shooting army that wont assualt me they tend to cause lots of problems
