Blood Angels 1500.
A friend of mine has many Marines he doesn't use. I plan on getting started into Marines so why not get some pratice with them? BA's are cool with their vampire-ness and their Codex is free. So by scraping together every SM model my friend and I has for me to use next week, I think I've made a list.
HQ – Lemartes
8 Death Company
-4 Lightning Claws
-Thunder Hammer and Storm Sheild
How does it looked? I peeked around the Blood Angels Talk Thread and caught eye that Lemartes is good, and that terminators are not the best choice. Yet I don't care. Termies are cool and I don't think we have enough models for this exactly.
Already I'd have to use tactical marines as assault squads and I think my friend may not have 8 Death Company models either. Yet if all goes well and we have enough models and where allowed to proxy for Assault Squads and Lemartus I may give this list a fun swing!
So is this so bad it shouldn't be tried? Or is this actually a good list to let me play a game as Marines? I don't know why,
which is why I'm posting it all for you to see and judge. I personally can see why Termies won't go well with jump troops. If they deep strike they may come to late to support, and they are to slow to follow up well on foot. Yet they're cool and we have the models.
EDIT: I want to add its Blood Angels because I know he has some death company models and I'm pretty sure all be allowed to field those tactical marines as assault marines for a game.

A cheap army is a blessed thing! If these are the models you have the list you want to play, then give it a go! I find terminators are hard to keep alive and the points will get you a lot of power armored marines, but you already know that and this is the list you want to play, so I say "Enjoy!"
While you are proxying, proxy some power fists in your assault squads. I think you will be happy with the result.
Once a Marine, always a Marine.
Due to your unique situation, a lot of the advice that I'd normally give doesn't really apply. I can point out a few things, though.Perfect. That's the exact number I use, and they work well every game.Elites:
8 Death CompanyNormally I wouldn't advise taking these, but all in all I think they just might serve you decently. You do have a lot of Terminators in this list after all, and it's hard to argue with assault cannons.Terminator Squad
-Assault CannonThese concern me. They're far too slow, so all I feel that they'll really be able to accomplish is to land in a table quarter or something and hide. Unfortunate, but likely true.Terminator Squad
-4 Lightning Claws
-Thunder Hammer and Storm SheildAs has been noted above, making these power fists will make these units far more effective.Troops:
-Power WeaponThis one makes me cringe a bit. I assume it's only 5 men strong? If this is the case it isn't so bad. It'll do for anti tank in a pinch, but I have a feeling that you're going to struggle with vehicle heavy armies anyway (it sort of comes with the territory as a Blood Angel).Heavy Support:
-Missle LaucherYummeh!Baal Predator
-Heavy BoltersOverall, I don't think this list will give you a positive experience with the Blood Angels. You're missing a few of our best units (Veteran Assault Squads, Attack Bikes) so you'll likely be at a disadvantage to start with. Nonetheless, it may give you a half-decent feel for how the Angels play since you've got a large Death Company and all, so you it just might be okay.So is this so bad it shouldn't be tried? Or is this actually a good list to let me play a game as Marines? I don't know why, which is why I'm posting it all for you to see and judge. I personally can see why Termies won't go well with jump troops. If they deep strike they may come to late to support, and they are to slow to follow up well on foot. Yet they're cool and we have the models.
Finally, I can't stress enough that the addition of at least one Veteran Assault Squad (probably to replace your CC Terminators) would improve the effectiveness of this list in a very positive way, and is something that you should consider at first opportunity.
Good luck and if you have more questions, please feel free to post back,

I believe I may get to field this madness at a friends house this Friday. Which means more can be proxyied. (Spelling?) It may be backed up by some Imperial Guard stuff if we play a larger game.
If your going to proxy, I suggest looking up one of Katies, or my BA lists. These lists will have a steep learning curve, but will reward you for sticking with it. Although you'd have to buy a lot eventually.
Nice of your friends to let you proxy. Once you start annihilating your friends however, they will probably ask that you actually buy the required models.
