You GET one free DC marine for every squad you buy. That is 6 deathmarines for your squads; 1 veteran, 1 scout, 3 tactical and one devestator.

Other than that - I would try to maximize my DC squad in a 2k armylist...

Actually believe it or not. Under the Death Marines it says that you don't have to pick a model from every squad. But yeah it's a godd idea becuase having 5 guyus won't just be the same. In fact you'll have angry mobs yelling " " 5 DEATH COMPANY???". Yeah some people are crazy over Death Company. Other than that, nice list!

    I was aware

I was aware that you get one death company member for each qualifying unit that you take but I also knew that in previous editions you lost unit members who became death company on the eve of battle. I wanted to make sure that the thread poster was aware of the way the rules work now.

It's a great idea as the death company are now VP cheap and so you can throw them forward into combat without worrying about the consequences. Even if they are destroyed your opponent hardly benefits at all.

Oh - another thing: are the predators Baal predators (assaultcannon instead of autocannon/lascannon) if not, I would strongly recommend to take Baal predators over autopredators...there's nothing as destructive as a twinlinked assaultcannon...well, maybe a battlecannon or demolisher, but that's a different story all together...
