hey guys im quite new to warhammer in general and ive only played a few battles with my friends armys. i would like to get my own army going and i chose daemonhunters. so i know alot of people say daemonhunters are pretty hard in general and very hard to start out with, i would still like to try. so i got the codex and this is what i have so far...
2 Plasma guns
7 Grey Knights – 175
Justicar – 50
1 Inquisitor – 20
Bolt pistol – 1
Power weapon – 15
so ya thats what i came up with and i was just wondering if its leagal and i`m looking for any suggestions you guys might have for me.
Its not a good idea at all to take an inquisitor by himself. As cool as he seems, without a retinue he is not much better than an IG veteran.
Also saying how many points each item is is against the rules of this forum for legal reasons.
Some times its better to stay quite and let people think that you are stupid rather than opening your mouth and expelling all doubt...
Hey man, I usually take an Inquisitor by himself, it's great if you outfit him the proper way. I usually give him a bolt pistol, thunder hammer, scourging, teleport homer (only if you plan on using deep strikers) and power armor.
So I figure for 500 points you want to do without the homer, but put him with the ISTs that way he boosts their above average leadership to Iron Will which is awesome, your plasma guns won't be running away. The Thunderhammer replaces hammer hand (and unlike that power it goes right through armor AND can slow down big nasties) Scourging gives you a great ranged power to add some punch to a unit thats not really mean't for CC anyways. Be sure to put smoke and Extra Armor on the Rhino too so that you can get the ISTs close. Once they jump out and you're reasonably sure they don't need it you can use it to try to tank shock units with it's front armor you can be reasonably sure it won't be destroyed by regular troops in a death or glory move.
For the brother captain, don't bother with hammer hand, strength X at low I and not a power weapon doesn't compare with his NFW.
Just wanted to show you some options that work for me, the kind that I always use. Good luck!
Anyways, if you want to discuss, let's consolidate the threads and chat over in the other one =).

Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.
If you're intruiged by doctors who are also ninjas, then this is the webcomic for you!
