hey guys as you can see i plan to get a gaurd army in the future, it never ocured to me to post my list but now it has so see what you think, i'm not sure about it myself but see what you think
Heroric senior officer- power fist, marchian cross, bionics-
retinue- melta gun, master vox, 2 vetrans with standard bearer, medic
essiantill choice, upraded to have some sort of counter attack
tank busting but in play testing not very effective, any other ideas?
3 priests, 2 power fists
these provide some real punch to the commnad squads and were effective in play testing
2 times infantry platoons
junior office with power fist,
again i upgrade these with power fists so they can take out tanks and space marines
2 infantry squads- melta gun, vox
These guys will stand in close order drill and blaze away at the enemy
these are to soak up fire power and tie up units for 80 points there real useful
3 leman russes
leman russes are well armoured and come with a battle cannon and the option to use 3 heavy bolters, awsome tanks and will do the majority of the killing
Doctrines- surport squads, conscripts, close order drill, any other ideas?
All comments are welcome, it lost the majority of the time in playtesting but i don't know what to change about it any suggestions will be gratefully recieved,
Before I suggest that you drop it, I thought I would ask how you intend to use the Marcharian cross?
I see a lot of power fists in this list. Generally, powerfists are not that effective for imperial guard. Strength 6 is not good for busting tanks and it cant even insta kill MEQs. IG have the cheapest power weapons in the game and are a much better option than power fists.
Conscripts are good, but they are almost certain to flee after taking 5 casualties. Thats not exactly soaking up fire power. However, give these guys an independent commisar (this guy can have a powerfist) to make this essentialy a fearless unit.
Your heavy support is good but your troops squads are not that efficient. Melta guns are pretty inefective on slow moving squads. Put in some high strength weapons with range like Lascanons or missile launchers to take out armour that your heavy support should not be.
Try these changes and inclu

It's worth a krak!
Cheers for the response i was beggining to think no one would, anyway down to your comments, i thought the list was pretty rubbish, i intented to use the marchian cross to reposition the infantry platoon or the tanks, the rason i had power fist is combined with the preists thats reroll to hit on 4's mainly and then 2 to kill! in my playtests it worked really well, but it is an expensive combo, i think if i drop all the power fists and replace with power weapons, then lose the the conscripts and the anti tank squad thats about enough for cheap 2 infantry platoons with vox and lascannons (don't have my codex) would this improve the list, it would leave me with 3 static infantry platoons, 3 leman russes and an command platoon, would this be better?
