Hey gyus here is my first 1000 point list. I really could use some advice.
All coment and advice is welkome!
Flesh over steel
Take the fight to them
Blessed be the warriors
No mercy, no respite
master-lightning c.-jump pack-iron halo= 150
10 marines-cc weapons=150
10 marines-plasma cannon-plasma gun=180
3 bikes-melta gun-melta gun-melta bombs=122
1 speeder-assault cannon=80
1 dreadnought-heavy flamer=115
9 assault marines-meltabombs-furious charge=225
This is the idea of the army: I ussually let my master join the assault squad and i let them run forward. i send my bikers ahead to, to take out heavy armour. If my bikes die, then i let my assault squad charge armour of the enemy, with their meltabombs. I leave my tactical squad behind (The one with the plasma weapons) to take out terminators or anything witch has a good armour save. i let my dreadnoeght and my tactical squad with cc weapons run forward to and charge wathever they can charge. I let my landspeeder take out big squads of gaunts or something like that. I hope you all get the idea of my army. And again; all coment and advice is welkome!
Not bad. I'd recommend giving him frag grenades and potentially Terminator Honours.HQ
master-lightning c.-jump pack-iron halo= 150No Sergeant with a Power Fist? This isn't a very fluffy squad, in my opinion. Tactical Marines need Drop Pods to be fluffy, and at least a special weapon to be tactically useful.TROOP
10 marines-cc weapons=150I'd recommend dropping the Plasma Cannon for either a Lascannon (ideal for tank hunting) or Missile Launcher.10 marines-plasma cannon-plasma gun=180Not very fluffy, and easily shot down. I'd recommend scrapping these guys altogether.FAST ATTACK
3 bikes-melta gun-melta gun-melta bombs=122Not a bad choice, though not what I, personally, would choose for Raven Guard.1 speeder-assault cannon=80Extra armour is a must on this guy. I like to run mine as a Venerable with extra armour and toss him in a Drop Pod.ELITES
1 dreadnought-heavy flamer=115These guys should be tearing infantry apart, not assaulting tanks, IMO. I'd ditch the Meltabombs, and once again, I'd put in a Sergeant with a Power Fist.9 assault marines-meltabombs-furious charge=225
I think you're missing the fluff of Raven Guard by a long shot, at least in terms of my own interpretation of their fluff. You need Scouts (very fluffy for RG), Assault Squads (which you have), and Drop Pods if you're going to take anything else. I don't think Bikes fit their fluff at all, nor do I think CC-equipped Tactical Squads do.
Hope this at least gives you something to think about!
