I've had this army for a little bit and am using them in a (friendly) tournament for the first time this Sunday. Below is a list of the models I have; what is the best army I could make with them? They are modelled to be an Adeptus Mechanicus force, with allied Witch Hunters representing some things. Advice on using the army is welcome as well.
Inquisitor with power armour, power weapon, Brazier of Holy Fire, Auspex, Bionics, Digital Weapons (not all of those have to be taken, obviously)
Retinue including Acolyte with Brazier of Holy Fire, Acolyte with power weapon and armour, and any number of servitors or familiars
Priest with Eviscerator and power armour, could have Bionics
Command Squad with Vox-caster
Forgeworld Long-range scanners
1 Command squad with Vox-caster
2 Infantry squads with Vox-casters and flamers
Armoured fist squad with Vox-casters and flamers, Chimera has pintle-mounted Storm bolter
2 Techpriests with extras of every type of servitor
3 Lascannon teams
Lascannon teams could be attached to squads, or in Command Platoon
Extra servitors could function as heavy bolter teams that could also be attached to squads or in Command Platoon
Sergeants are modeled to have bionics, but don't have to be fielded with it if it's deemed not worth it
Doctrines I like to use include Techpriest Enginseers, Carapace armour, Cyber-enhancement, and Sharpshooters. I don't have to use all of any of them if it's better strategically not to though.
I think that's about it... my first opponent will be Vostroyans. Thanks.
the list should probably look somthing like this
jo w/ honorifica
(this squad is your leadership for your entire army. keep them behind a cover, as longer this squad cannot be shot at the better)
Anti tank squad
sharp shooters (very good for heavy weapon squad but not so good for your troop choices)
JO (vox not needed here)
(this squad will make a good sacrifice unit to buy you another round of rapid fire)
Platoon squad A and B
flamer (you would be alot better off if you could get a grenade launcher or plasma gun)
Flamer (again better off with greande launcher or plasma gun)
turret and hull heavy bolter (if you are allowed to use forge world in the tournament upgrade the turret to a twin linked heavy bolter, chimeras can be beasts at horde killing)
pintle storm bolter (pintle heavy stubber would be better)
Thats at least a start, i dont have my codex so points wise im not sure how much you have here. if you have more points then adding another vehicle (perferably one with high AV to keep some of the pressure of the chimera)would work.
kitting you inquisitor out as a good counter assault unit would be beneficial as well
carapace armor on you troops would be a good idea, but cyber enhancements is not as good and usually does not make up for its points.
good luck and have fun

"Thank him who puts me loath to this revenge on you who wrong me not for him who wrongd"
Thanks, I'll do something like that. Is it your opinion that I should not field the Bombard or Malcador thoguh, or are you just unfamiliar with their rules?
