I played a small game of i think take and hold vs. Orks anyway here’s my list:
Brother captain - holocaust
Inquisitor lord with shooty retinue
x 2 death cult assassins 80pts
Grey knight squad
6 grey knights
Storm trooper squad (inquisitorial)
5 storm troopers
K I am 13 points under which u can spend freely
Basically this really worked well for me I thought maybe it might come in handy for those people who play smaller games.
The battle was quite funny because my brother captain became a squig ha-ha. but in the end I beat down all his force. Death cults work great when u decide to deny the opponent a turn of shooting by assaulting a lone man on the edge of the squad so they can’t strike back until next turn. Then if she does die send the other one in. there were a lot of Orks I imagine I was outnumbered at least 4:1 u can make a great killing zone if you find a gap which you know your opponent will go through.

This looks like a great army list just personaly i would add a flamer to the inquisitors retinue.
Nothing more funny than 3 inquisitors with sanctify when facing deamons. They cant do anything while you stand in front of them having a tee break.
I would dump holocost. It isn't going to be very effective because it kills the same thing that the rest of you list is good at killing (poor save hordes). Instead I would grab a psycannon, and pepper some vehicles. Then I would probably drop the incenerator & assassins. Those points can get you 2 more GKs, and 2 more plasma wielding stormies. Your stormies then become worth something, and can kill the same thing the DCA would have, and you have more numbers of GKs which is a plus, remember 6 GKs dies at the same rate as 6 space marines, and you would not settle for a list with only 6 marines because they would never make it through the game.
If I time it right i can them move up un-challenged which is bad, because I need to shoot so don’t forget to leave a squad to shoot at! Preferably something that won’t shoot back lol.
ok my army was Ork specific it does seem, but I used my ‘stormies’ for the ap5 which i don’t need from the plasma gun and also to act as a smoke screen for the DCA to either counter charge or to dis-encourage fire on them.
captain, incinerator and 6 Grey knights (please don’t class them as marines, they're really not that bad ) in cover using the 24 range to full effect vs. shooty Orks with shoota, big shoota and rocket in using a kill zone (between two pieces of terrain) can live + shrouding as a cherry on top.
I’m not saying anymore, you yourself may play differently to me, which is fine, but to view the units the way I do, you have to play them with a tactic in mind.
