    Black templars novice 1500 list

So, here is the situation: I have been playing Tau for some time but now I am just dying for a more assaulty army. I was thinking a lot about Black templars and have put together this army list. I have not tried it yet, but I am thinking of it as kind of a core list, that will be changed acording to the enemy.

    Emperor's Champion (HQ) 140
Black Sword; Bolt Pistol; Crusader Seals; Frag Grenades
Accept any Chalenge, No Matt All units hit on 3+ in CC.

    Crusader Squad (Troops) 240
Bolt Pistol & CCW (x8); Power Fist & BP; Flamer

Rhino Storm Bolter; Extra Armour; Search Light; Smoke
    Launchers

    Crusader Squad (Troops) 240
Bolt Pistol & CCW (x8); Power Fist & BP; Flamer

Rhino Storm Bolter; Extra Armour; Search Light; Smoke
    Launchers

    Crusader Squad (Troops) 216
Bolt Pistol & CCW (x8); Power Weapon & BP; Flamer
Neophytes Bolt Pistol & CCW (x4)

Predator (HS) TL Lascannon; Heavy Bolter Sponsons 130

Predator (HS) TL Lascannon; Heavy Bolter Sponsons 130

    Land Raider Crusader (HS) 268
Multi-Melta; TL Assault Cannon; Hurricane Bolters
(x2); Frag Assault Launchers; Power of the
    Machine Spirit; Smoke Launchers

    Assault Squad (Fast Attack) 135
    Bolt Pistol & CCW (x3); Power Fist & BP;
    Frag Grenades, Melta bombs

    Total points 1499

Tactics: The crusader squad will slam into the enemy line, the rhino squads will either support it in one big combat or attack by themselves. Predators with assault squad will hunt any vehicles, once those are neutralised they will attack any targets left on the battlefield. Obviously this will change with the foe I will be facing, but you get the general idea.

I will apreciate any suggestions as to what is usefull, what is not, what other units should I include. Well, any suggestions will be appreciated.

Dont post stats of the units just final unit cost, as everyone here that will help you out should have the codex or atleast a general knowledge of the units.

Switch the flamers to melta guns and leave the predators with the autocannon on top and then either keep the side heavy bolters or take side lascannons. Also get more guys in your assault squad.

go a little more heavy on neophytes because of the new allocation rules. I would try to stick in some terminators and stick em in a crusader. Maybe a squad of assault terminators with a chaplain in termy armor.

What precisely is the new advantage of having more neophytes under the 5th edition?

The advantage of having more neophytes is that they can take the hits while the rest of the squad survives to get into CC.
