    Ultramarines 1500 points competitive

    Hey Guys, im new to warhammer 40k so am in need of some help for my first army, heres my second draft.


    Librarian [149] - Terminator Armour, Fury of the Ancients

    4 Terminators [200] - 2 x Assault Cannons

    Dreadnought [110] – Extra Armour

    5 Scouts [95] - Sniper rifles, missile Launcher

    5 Scouts [70] - Bolters, Heavy Bolter

    10 Tactical Squad [180] - Plasma Cannon, Plasma Gun

    Rhino [58] - Extra Armour, Smoke

    10 Tactical Squad [175] – Lascannon, Plasma Gun

    Rhino [58] - Extra Armour, Smoke

    10 Tactical Squad [200] - Veteran Sergeant w Power fist and Bolt Pistol, Missile Launcher, Plasma Gun

    Land Speeder Tornado [80] - Assault Cannon

    Vindicator [125]

    Points: 1500

    Id appreciate any critique or suggestions on how to adapt this list.

    Good choice can be placed in the middle of the battle field so you can use the pychic hood effectively via deep strike and he wont go anywhere either

    Would take heavy bolter instead due to them having the same range as rifles and your not vasting krak shots on vehicles when the rifles cant hurt it

    5 Scouts [70] - Bolters, Heavy Bolter
    need to be static or moving so either make another sniper squad or have them running with Bolt pistol and ccw's,

    10 Tactical Squad [180] - Plasma Cannon, Plasma Gun

    Rhino [58] - Extra Armour, Smoke
    the plasma cannon's points are slightly wasted due to being in a rhino. consider the traits that let you have 2 special weapons

    10 Tactical Squad [175] – Lascannon, Plasma Gun

    Rhino [58] - Extra Armour, Smoke
    same as above

    10 Tactical Squad [200] - Veteran Sergeant w Power fist and Bolt Pistol, Missile Launcher, Plasma Gun
    same as above plus this guy realy needs a rhino to get him to where he is needed with the powerfist

    Land Speeder Tornado [80] - Assault Cannon

    Vindicator [125]

    umhh... you have some interesting oppinions there zsssmart, but I think you are mixing some things up.

    -the psychic hood still works with unlimited range in the current codex, and although this will change in the next edition, this is clearly an example of a current-dex list.
    -I, for one, like the scout squad the way it is. The missile launcher enables you to do some tanks if you want, and it has an option to fire frag missiles as well, which I really like.
    -I'd consider dropping the plasmacannon for a sergeant with a power weapon. You'll need five more points, but you can drop the extra armour on the dread...
